Why I Write
Every story is a unique relationship between a reader and a writer. A portal into a different perspective. An invitation to the mind to become something new, if only for a short time. I write to invite both myself and readers into different perspectives, told through the lenses of horror, mysteries, science fiction, and more.
More importantly, I write to try and create modern works of substance – stories with layered meanings for older audiences. What drove me to writing initially was a personal desire for elevation in horror story-telling, to tell tales that get under the reader’s skin for reasons beyond “the monster’s appearance is scary”. To strike at a reader’s mind and make them question their own reason, or create a message that resonates in the soul is the highest mark of human creation.
